Of course, I always listen to my clients' thoughts and ideas, and after many design concepts, I knew I had to make this one undulating, to better convey the feeling of a rock pool. This particular gold ring came about thanks to a client request for an even bolder statement piece within my Rock pool collection. This year, it's magenta, a colour that just so happens to the colour within the brand new Rock Pool fuchsia pink sapphires ring.
They're a powerful method of communicating colour, and every year, after a thorough analysis, Pantone selects the colour of the year. It was fate! For those who may not know, Pantone colours are widely accepted reference points used throughout the design and creative world. When I created the Rock pool fuchsia pink sapphire ring, I couldn't have predicted how perfectly it would coincide with Pantone's colour of the year.
